Catching Up...

I'm finally catching up on my blog posts. Don't worry, this one is only 7 months behind! Here are some pictures I took at Christmas down in Pine. Most of them are of E.

Let's open some presents!

Here Sarah, your presents look boring. I'll share one of mine :)

Just one more to pull off!

Now I'll just throw this thing away...

Finally! I can play with this awesome stick now!

Look Sarah! I'm a Christmas present!

Whoops! The paper fell down!

It's ok, I've got it now. But where did I put the tape?

Yay, I get to open more presents!

Cool! Noah's ark! Let's wrap it up again, and then unwrap it!

On second thought, it might be more fun to just play with!

We got some footie pjs for Sarah. I wish I would have gotten a
picture of when she first opened them. She was pretty excited.

What's been happening lately

I finally posted pictures from the 4th of July week! In the future, I will try to be better at updating more often. I don't have pictures of what else has been going on lately, but here are a few highlights:

  • Jeff is doing well in his job, and has been complemented by both his supervisors and the customers he works with.
  • There are two more kittens at Jeff's parent's house! Every time we visit, we try to handle the kittens as much as possible so they won't be too skittish. One is very cuddly, and might be my favorite. I hope she sticks around.
  • A couple weeks ago I got hired as an "as needed" Exercise Specialist at Aqua Worx Physical Therapy & Fitness! So far I've trained and subbed for someone a couple times. I really like it, and the ladies that work there are pretty awesome. It also motivates me to start working out again. When I participated in the Senior Aerobics class I had a hard time finishing! I need to get moving and back into shape so I can instruct the class without tiring myself out.
  • In August I started working at Deseret Industries (thrift store). It's nothing special, but it is a great work environment and I get 20% off the merchandise so no complaints there. My supervisor is allowing me to work at DI full time on days I'm not needed at Aqua Worx. Since the whole point of DI is for job training/gaining work experience, she is always excited when I tell her I need days off to work at Aqua Worx.
  • We are going to buy a "new" car this week! A friend of mine is selling her 1999 ford minivan at a very good price, so will soon be the proud new owners of a car that doesn't break down every month. We have been spending about $200/month to keep Jeff's van running. Jeff swears that his van just doesn't like me, and is convinced it will run just fine once I stop driving it. We shall see.
  • I took the GRE the last week of September, and should get the results the second week of November. I am also applying to the Masters of Science in Sports Medicine program at USU. If all goes well, I will be accepted to start next fall, and also get a position as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. I would be assigned to cover a university team, have tuition waived, and receive a $10,000 yearly stipend. I am excited about it.

4th of July: Kittens & Twin Lake

We went up to Jeff's parent's house for 4th of July weekend. There were lots of kittens, and Jeff made sure he took care of them.

Mommy Jeff

John Wayne Jr, aka JJ, exploring.

Dolly & Miss Kitty.

Where's JJ?

There he is! John Wayne Sr (an older kitten, who was almost identical other than having longer fur) was in the other pocket, but I didn't get a picture. Surprisingly, they liked being in the pockets.

Jeff's friend Landon has property on the shore of Twin Lake, so we went there for the afternoon.

This is what happens when you let Jeff borrow your sandals to play in the water. He broke two within about 20 minutes.

Jeff & Landon decided to make a "hot tub" up on the hill by the bank.
