In our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), we have a tradition where our babies are blessed in church shortly after they are born. Usually it is the father who says the blessing, inspired by our Father in Heaven. We had our baby blessing on the first Sunday in August, and Grandma and Grandpa Sprinkle were able to come up from Arizona, along with the two foster girls (and Scout, the puppy). Brandalyn and cousin L also came from Oregon. We had lots of fun having them visit, and the girls had tons of fun holding the baby, and playing with kittens.

We went out to eat on Saturday, and baby slept right through dinner.

The girls kept themselves entertained while we waited for our food.
On Sunday, we got ready for church so baby could have his blessing. Here are the pictures of baby in his blessing outfit. It was a little big for him, but it was still cute!

So peaceful!
After church we went back to the house for some food and some more family pictures.

We also got a group shot of all the guys. Most of these guys were also at our wedding. We are so glad they were able to come up for baby's blessing too!

I love baby's position in this photo. I think he's practicing his Superman pose!
And to finish off this post, here are some pictures of the girls and Grandpa Sprinkle holding baby. I know someone got a picture of Grandma Sprinkle holding baby, but I haven't tracked it down yet.
