Conference, Jack-o-lanterns, and Thanksgiving!

Roger tried to help me take notes during conference...

But he had a hard time holding the pen.

All the attempted note-taking tired him out.

Jeff and I made Jack-o-lanterns for Halloween! I think Jeff's looks like a Pacman ghost. Mine is supposed to be a guy with a handlebar mustache wearing aviator sunglasses.

Jeff and I both had to work on Thanksgiving, but we managed to have time to have dinner after I got off work and before Jeff went in. It was my first attempt at making a turkey, but it turned out pretty well!

Our feast!

More Football Pictures

USU vs Louisiana Tech

These are pictures from our game at Louisiana Tech. We won the game, which put
Utah State in the top 20 teams in the nation, and pretty much secured USU for a bowl game.

We had super nice taping facilities ;) Actually though, it was a nice day, and
being outside was better than being crammed into a tiny room like other places
we have visited. The dirt and leaves were the only problem.

It was a tough game, but we won in overtime.

Before the game, Karl Malone walked around shaking hands and taking pictures
with the players.  He apologized for interrupting my taping, but I didn't mind :)

 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Game

After beating Louisiana Tech and Idaho State, USU was invited to the Idaho Potato Bowl.

Josh drove us up in his car, so we got a good picture of the USU football trailer as we passed it.

There was a hockey rink inside the hotel we stayed in at Boisie, and we all got tickets.
This is Coach Anderson shaking hands with the team before the game.

I had never been to a hockey game, but I really liked it. We'll have to try going to
USU's hockey games next year. I hear they are pretty good.

The team huddle after we beat Toledo 41 to 15.

Football Pictures

For those of you who don't know, I am going to Utah State University to get my Master's degree in Athletic Training. I have a graduate assistantship working as an Athletic Trainer for USU. My sport assignment, at least for now, is with the football team. There are five of us that work with the team, and four of us travel to the games. I haven't taken very many pictures, but here's what I've got so far. In case you haven't heard, USU is doing pretty well. Our record is 8-2. This weekend is our bye week, and I am loving the time off!

These first few pictures are from our second game, against University of Utah.
We beat them in overtime, and the crowd got just a little excited :)

Ok, maybe they got a lot excited...

They even knocked over one of the benches!

These next few pictures are from our third game, at Camp Randall Stadium
in Madison, Wisconsin. The stadium was HUGE, and it got pretty loud!

You can't see it super well, but there was quite a curve to the field.
It made the field seem bigger than normal.

Just a few weeks ago we went to Texas for our game against the University
of Texas-San Antonio. We played in the Alamo Dome, which is pretty new,
and it is super nice. It was the best set up we've had so far.

The night before the game we went to dinner at the mall, and then wandered around.
Look who I found at the Disney store! Walter and Beaker!

Next weekend we head to Ruston, LA to play Louisiana Tech, who is ranked 20th nationally. It will be a harder game, but I think we can win. I'll try to take some pictures while we're there. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is our last game, against Idaho, but we should head to a bowl game in December, so that will be exciting!
